Establishment of the Unit

The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy was established on the second floor of the faculty building by College Council Decision No. 134 in November 2005.

At that time, the unit was named the "University Performance Evaluation, Development, and Quality Unit." However, its name was changed to the "Quality Assurance Unit" by College Council Decision No. 216 on April 17, 2010.












Vision

Continuous development and improvement of the educational process, research performance, and community service of the faculty.

Mission

The Quality Assurance Unit at the faculty strives to implement and monitor quality systems in the educational and research processes by promoting and applying quality concepts within the academic, administrative, and student communities. It also aims to integrate with community institutions and prepare the faculty for accreditation.

Unit Objectives:

  • Establishing the general policy for performance evaluation and quality assurance at the faculty and monitoring its implementation.
  • Promoting and disseminating a culture of quality within the faculty community.
  • Developing the skills of faculty members, supporting staff, and employees.
  • Monitoring overall faculty performance indicators to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Evaluating the quality of all academic programs and courses.
  • Enhancing the educational process to improve graduate competency and strengthen their competitiveness.
  • Establishing effective communication with quality assurance and accreditation centers and organizations.
  • Preparing self-assessment studies and annual reports.

Formation of the Unit Board of Directors

Based on the letter received from the Director of the University Quality Assurance Center, Prof. Dr. Hanaa El-Husseini, regarding the formation of the Quality Assurance Unit Board of Directors, the board was restructured as per College Council Decision No. 401 on 20/12/2021.
